Over a decade ago I spent many months of long late nights   building a fancy site using all the tricks of the time, much of it the slow way in a simple  text editor , I got quite good at design and even got paid to write a few others for some contacts, other work came along, time flew by and it fell behind with no maintainance, although it was  still quite good  for it's time, it was dated and did not display correctly in newer browsers and even crashed a few !!,  so it has now been removed, I have forgotten much of what I knew way back then and only just got a bit of interest back, this has just been quickly cobbled together from "bits 'n' bobs" that remain on the web space. it  is here just to start with until I learn some of the newer methods and trends

The business of 33yrs is still going strong !

Have we made a million yet?

For others who may have followed a link for serious Atari computer use, I no longer own any, but will never forget that exciting time , trade shows, dedicated mags etc, plus a really big learning curve both hardware and software.  I now use
Linux Mint 9 Isadora
for 99.99% of my needs which is run dual boot or from external USB drives/sticks on  a collection of  assorted  netbooks  laptops and desktops.
it is totally free and relies on donations to survive, so pleased with this system I donate a few pounds now and then to the development team

I find the Windows system  forces a lot of things upon the user, is very virus prone and requires constant updates, for the average casual user it is bloated and over complicated, it is a pain to backup or reinstall and will not run from an external drive, imagine having a CD collection that would only play on one player unless you paid to use any others you wanted, that took an age to start, needed updating every time you turned it on, and while you were using it thousands of people were trying to sabotage or break it.
Most of the time people just want to switch on and browse the web, not wait while a new version of netframework takes 20 mins to download and four reboots to install followed by the latest security update then, the virus definitions and so on and on and on.............

Email addresses on any cards/letterheads you have should still work, the home phone and mobile numbers are still the same
I hope to put together a modern looking site when/if I get the time
